Miskwaabik The Protector
Copper cones, fishing line, cedar tree, and melting ice
Miskwaabik (copper) encloses the ice, protecting the spirit of life that nourishes us. As time passes, the ice melts and is absorbed by the medicine beneath, illustrating the cyclical nature of life.
This piece was created for the RRR Residency and was exhibited in Trajectories of Now.
